ASIALICIOUS™ CARNIVAL
Toronto Asialicious™ Carnival is a festival of food and fun bringing all communities together to celebrate the multicultural mosaic of Canada through a weekend filled with Asian-themed street food and entertainment for family, neighbours and friends. The Saturday evening “Starry Night” variety show features world renowned Asian celebrities followed by spectacular fireworks at dusk. The 2020 Asialicious Carnival will take place the weekend of September 11-13.

CHINESE NEW YEAR MARKETPLACE FESTIVAL
This 4-day weekend event showcased vendors of traditional merchandises for the lunar new year celebrations, a wishing tree for making well wishes with free entertainment at centre stage. Both Deputy Mayors Denzil Minnan-Wong and Michael Thompson together with Deputy Chief of Police Peter Yuen attended the New Year’s Eve countdown show hosted by local Ward Councillor Cynthia Lai. A visit by the God of Fortune with Dragon Dance rang in the year of the RAT. On lunar new year day, Councillor Lai was joined by Mayor John Tory and Minister Raymond Cho MPP at a Lion Dance ceremony followed by delivering of greetings to the packed crowd of residents and store owners in the mall.
